the story you almost edited out?

that’s the one we build from.

I lead creative workshops and retreats that get stuck teams moving — bringing fifteen years of creative direction, strategy, and design thinking to every room I walk into. Your team leaves with clarity, aligned direction, and a plan they'll actually use.

Here's what I know after fifteen years.

The brands and bodies of work that actually land? They're not the most polished ones. They're the most honest ones. The strange thread. The tension. The part that felt too specific, too personal, too unconventional to keep.

Those aren't liabilities. They're the story.

Most teams know this somewhere. They just don't have a way in. Nobody gave them one.

That's what I do.

Hi! I'm Shaunté. I'm a creative director, certified Scrum Master, and self-taught artist. I spent nearly a decade at NPR, where I helped bring the Tiny Desk Concert Contest to life. I've worked in boardrooms, art studios, writers' rooms, and retreat spaces. I've sat with founders who had everything figured out except their story, and creative teams who had the story but couldn't find the thread.

This is the work I was made for.

I use tarot archetypes as a facilitation framework. Not fortune-telling, not vibes. As a structured way to surface what your team already knows but can't quite name — and turn it into something you can actually work from. We use archetypes to cut through the confusion, ditch the playbooks leading to dead ends, and get to decisions faster.

Tarot is the tool. Your team's story is the work.

A few places I’ve made a ruckus…

THE work

The Ruckus Room — A 2.5-hour creative workshop for teams that are stuck, stale, or running on fumes. We shake things loose. You leave with ideas, direction, and actual next steps.

The Story Lab — A half-day or full-day retreat for teams that need more than a reset. We go deep, surface what's been sitting underneath the work, and build from it.

Speaking — On creative leadership, the stories teams almost edit out, and how to build from the ones that matter. Now booking 2026 dates.

faq

Will this feel too woo for my team? We anchor everything to decisions, deliverables, and deadlines. Tarot opens the door. The plan closes it.

What does the team leave with? Clarity on direction, tools for getting unstuck, and a structured plan for what comes next. Also: a bonfire for the jargon that's been burning your team out.

How many people is this for? Works for small pods to cross-functional teams. We'll right-size the format before we start.

Do you work with teams outside of LA? Yes. Virtual sessions are available globally. I travel for in-person retreats — if you cover travel, I pack light.
